& CAT "Course Ability Test"
What is Lure Course Racing?
It's the Newest Sport in the Dog World. Lure coursing is a sport that was originally designed for sighthounds like whippets and greyhounds, but NOW Every Dog is invited to participate in this NEW EXCITING SPORT. From AKC breeds to All American breeds. Lets see how fast your pup can run.
FAST CAT: Its all starts with a 100 yard dash on a straight track which is usually in a grass field where the dog chases a lure tied to a continious looping line.
CAT: Its a field course where the dogs chase a lure in a fenced field. The course is between 300 yards
The dogs have 1 1/2 minutes for the 300 yard course (dogs under 12") and 2 minutes (dogs over 12") to complete the 600 yard course for a passing score.
